Why didn't I get a notification when the Tower changed?
Make sure notifications are enabled for the app in your iPhone's Settings. Updates are also dependent on when the university posts a new lighting announcement, which can sometimes lag behind the actual change.
What do the different Tower configurations mean?
Open the "All Configurations" tab in the app to see every lighting configuration UT uses, along with the most recent time each one occurred.
Is this an official UT Austin app?
No — Light The Tower is an independent, non-commercial project and isn't affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to The University of Texas at Austin. All lighting information comes from public sources.
